Did you know that the most effective and up-to-date treatments for stress and posttraumatic stress were known and laid out for us 2000 years ago in the Sermon on the Mount?

Did you know that the Buddha taught similar practices 2500 years ago in what is known as Vipassana Buddhism?

Did you know that these principles were also known and used 3500 years ago by King David of Israel?

Welcome to the first Autosomatic Training™ Newsletter.

It is a great personal pleasure for me to introduce you to Autosomatic Training™ (AST).

The intention of this Newsletter and the accompanying articles and Blog is to lead you step by step to learn how to manage yourself and your emotions, manage your relationships with others, and enjoy your spiritual life, including your relationship to God. My job is to introduce you to some things that you already know innately. The whole process is simple, but it is not easy to get through the ‘narrow gate’ of self-examination that can lead to radical healthy changes in your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

On the Autosomatic Training™ web site, you will learn the basic principles of AST of self –examination, as well as the different levels on which it may be practiced to achieve your goals. You will learn the power of imaged memory to pre-determine your thoughts, feelings and behaviour, how to manage that power, and how to harness that power in a positive way to direct your motivation into healthy mental, emotional and spiritual channels.

These pages will also examine and explore the problems of good and evil in ourselves, others and the world, how they came to be, the spiritual direction they are leading us in, and how these problems can be handled. We will observe how life difficulties were handled by previous figures such as King David, and the early ‘followers of the way’ in the 1st century C.E. I will explain the method I used to uncover my own problems for myself, and shared the solution with my family, friends, some of my patients, and coaching clients – and what the results were. Similar principles have been applied in all the great religions by the People of the Book, the eastern spiritual traditions, and were also uncovered by psychologists like Freud and Jung over 100 years ago. Similar principles are in fact now being used in the most effective and up-to-date methods by psychologists and psychiatrists to manage post-traumatic stress.

In other words there is an Intersection, an area of agreement, between Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and modern Psychiatry and Psychology, that can be explored at a personal level within oneself by using the principles and practices outlined in these pages.

I expect you, through commitment and perseverance, to create these same benefits in your life. I am not seeking to change your beliefs; I am seeking your commitment to a better life for all of us. The course is clear. We need to purify our hearts and clear our minds so that God has a clean tablet to work on so he can ‘Write it in our hearts”.

It’s like a new day leading to a New Heavens and a new Earth. I invite your comments, your questions, and your criticisms. We will dialogue with each other, not, however, to engage in disputes about doctrines and beliefs. We are seeking common spiritual and emotional ground, for the sake of us all, in a spirit of unity.

Please invite others to join in this great dialogue in what may well be the end of times for our planet. We may be ‘this generation’ that will see major healthy changes in our ways of living. As you can see the website is still under construction. There is more to come.

You do not have to abandon your current faith, spiritual or psychological support community to explore and benefit from Autosomatic Training.

Join in the Autosomatic Training community to explore these issues. There will be group and individual trainings available.

You are welcome to contact me by email.
